Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in developing innovative learning strategies in the innovation of education course. The main problem addressed is the limited implementation of innovative teaching strategies by PAI teachers, which affects student engagement and learning quality. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method through a literature review from various scientific sources over the past five years. The findings indicate that PAI teachers play a significant role as innovators in designing and implementing creative learning strategies, such as Problem-Based Learning, Project-Based Learning, and the use of digital technology. These innovations have been proven to increase student participation, learning motivation, and understanding of PAI materials. However, several challenges remain, including limited facilities, teacher competence, and student readiness. The study concludes that innovative learning by PAI teachers is essential to improve the quality of education and requires continuous support.
