Abstract

This study aims to analyze in depth the impact of flooding on economic development in Binjai City after the floods in November 2025. A descriptive qualitative research approach was used, through structured interviews, observations, and document collection from micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The results of the study show that the flood caused a 60% decline in economic activity in the trade and service sectors. Most MSMEs experienced material losses, decreased demand, and disruptions in the distribution of goods
