Abstrak

This study analyzes the Cash on Delivery (COD) transaction system as a widely used payment method in Indonesian e-commerce. The research focuses on two main variables: consumer trust and transaction security. A qualitative approach was applied through a review of recent literature from the past five years. The findings indicate that consumer trust is the most influential factor in choosing COD, largely due to concerns about digital payment risks and product authenticity. Transaction security also plays a crucial role, especially regarding fraud risks, delivery issues, and direct interaction between couriers and buyers. These two variables interact to shape a safe and comfortable transaction experience. The study highlights the importance of platform transparency, consumer education, and standardized courier procedures. Overall, COD remains relevant but requires strengthened security mechanisms to ensure long-term consumer protection
